ABOUT US
Vibha Academic Bowl Outreach is a service organization founded at the University of Georgia in Fall 2012. The mission of the organization is to generate interest in learning among elementary and middle school students in the Athens area through an Academic Bowl Program.
Vibha Academic Bowl Outreach works with schools and after school programs to generate a schedule for coaching, learning, and trivia around that school or program’s convenience. Vibha ABO volunteers to help coach existing academic bowl programs as well as start up academic bowl programs where they don’t yet exist.
Vibha ABO is a branch of the international organization called Vibha. Vibha is a nonprofit that works to empower and engage every individual who wishes to make a positive difference in the life of an underprivileged child. Vibha emphasizes heavily on education, so it is appropriate to start an academic bowl outreach program in Vibha’s name. Vibha in Sanskrit simply means “life”.
